Most quotes can be given over the telephone. The underwriter will advise you if it is a "submit" risk.
When quoted, you will be given a quote number. **Most quotes are computed manually - so this quote number is extremely important for retrieval at a later time.
All quotes must be bound by our office in order for coverage to be effective.
To obtain a binder, just call and reference your quote number.
When coverage is bound, you will be given a policy number. This confirms that coverage is in effect at the date and time you request, and that your office will then be responsible for all required applications and the premium, including any earned premium in the event of cancellation.
Binder confirmations are faxed, usually within 24 hrs, with appropriate applications and forms for completion by your office, or our forms are available to you on-line via our website at any time. All completed applications, forms, and monies must be received by SIB within 10 days to avoid cancellation procedures.
Once information is reviewed, policies are issued by our office as quickly as possible and mailed to your office for distribution to your insured.
